"The Rattlesnake Gang 2022"

I had the good fortune to find myself in Big Bend Texas this past week painting along side some of the modern masters of the Plein air circuit. Richard Sneary called me last January and I said "You bet" almost instantly.  Unique because this was for pure fun - no competition, no extra circulars, just painting, eating, and and talking shop with a great fellowship of artists. Though I was just a "snakling" I felt right at home and the work that followed was amazing.

What wonderful videos, Gary. Thanks for sharing. If you weren't such a great artist and instructor, you could have a future as a videographer.

Looks like a great time. At some point I would like to paint with others at a location somewhere. Thanks for the videos and a look at your paintings.

What a rewarding experience to simply paint and paint and paint, then assemble for yarns, tall stories and discussions on the day's plein air works. I'm sure you would have wanted this adventure to last another week. Your work has such passion. Oh, to mix with such masterful Rattlesnake Gang members!

Beautiful series of paintings! They are very American, yet somehow fells p families though I have never seen them in person. I think your paintings make the viewer s feel that way.

Congratulations, I have followed several of this artist through Eric Rhoads You Tube Channel... You are certainly worthy of the invite. I miss your You Tube postings. Your "output" was exceptional Jeff

A sweet joy to see people embracing what they love. Amazing watercolor and in the Texas dry air!

Well, that trip was a gem. As usual, you caught the light in the sky, bouncing off the rocks, and reflecting in the stream in all its glory. These paintings are a fitting tribute to a grand place. Can't wait to start the next session of classes.
